The youth ministry at Wheatland (Roots) seeks to partner with parents as we equip students to know, love, and serve Christ in the church and our community. In Wheatland's Student Ministry, we seek to live in three directions:
UP - We are devoting our lives to bringing glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31). Whether we are singing, reading the Bible, praying together, or interacting with friends, family, and neighbors, our focus is on proclaiming the name of Jesus.
IN - As we gather together, we are continually equipping one another for ministry (Hebrews 10:24,25). We use a mixture of large group teaching sessions and small group discussion to encourage one another to become more like Christ.
OUT - We are overwhelmed by the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and because of our gratitude for his gift of life, we respond by loving and seeking reconciliation with our neighbors (Matthew 22:37-40; 1 John 3:16).
ROOTS Student Ministry meets on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the fellowship hall. For more information on the Youth Ministry at Wheatland, contact Samuel Spatola, or read an overview of the ministry here.
